Her hit "Where've You Been" told a love story spanning 60 years, and she's lent her name and image to the national Alzheimer's Association. Now Kathy Mattea is once again shining a light on the older population, as the Grammy and CMA Award-winning singer-songwriter has been tapped to host "NPT Reports: Aging Matters," a new series for Nashville Public Television.
"Aging Matters" premieres at 8 p.m. Thu., September 12 with an episode examining end-of life-care. The series is part of a "multi-year initiative" designed to encourage a community discussion about the needs of Middle Tennessee's older citizens, including care, finances, end-of-life issues, dementia and Alzheimer’s.
"Aging Matters" is slated to be distributed nationally through American Public Television later this year.
